Here you can find children's concerts and workshops, cello recitals and cello masterclasses. We'll also list fine instrument auctions. We apologize that these listings are mostly London based. www.bachtrack.com lists children's concerts around Britain.

Although we will try to ensure that the information here is accurate, please check all details with the venue concerned. Please note that in almost all cases, concerts and workshops will need to be booked in advance.

APRIL 2016

Sun 17 April, Trinity Laban Conservatoire, Greenwich, London Cello Society 'Cello Day', 10.15 - 5.30pm, grades 1 - 4 and grades 5 - 8+
The day will include exciting classes in folk music and cello guitar pizzicato. For Grades 5 - 8+ there are technique and improvisation classes, repertoire classes, cello ensembles and a masterclass with Leonid Gorokhov. For Grades 1 - 4, the day will include a 'Magic Box of Tricks: Improving favourite cello pieces' and ensembles.

25 April, Talking Cellos: 24 Study Days, Royal Academy of Music, 2.30 - 5.30pm (for not such little cellists)
Mario  Brunello  introduces behind his newly published study book which he describes as his cure for cellists, following one study per day over twenty-four days. www.ram.ac.uk

Weds 27 April, Talking Cellos: The Beauty of Scales, Royal Academy of Music, 6 - 7.30pm (for not such little cellists)
With Royal Academy cello professor Mats Lidstrom.

MAY 2016

Tues 3 May, Cello Masterclass, Royal Academy of Music, 3 - 6pm (for not such little cellists)

Sat 14 May, Roald Reimagined, Wigmore Hall, 10.30am - 3.30pm, ages 5+

Sat 28 May, Family Workshop: Menuhin's Magical Musical Journeys, Royal Academy of Music, 10am or 11.30am, 5 - 7yrs
Follow the journeys of superstar violinist Yehudi Menuhin and his musical friends. This family workshop will explore classical, jazz, Indian and folk music. www.ram.ac.uk
